Jindal Stainless Unveils FY26 Strategic Roadmap
Jindal Stainless, a leading stainless steel manufacturer in India, has unveiled its FY26 Integrated Annual Report, “The Metal of Progress. The Strength of Tomorrow.” The report articulates the company’s strategic priorities aimed at building a more resilient, sustainable, and future-ready stainless steel business, aligning with India’s evolving infrastructure and manufacturing ambitions. The report emphasizes the critical role of stainless steel in driving India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, particularly its corrosion resistance, durability, and recyclability.
Strong Financial Performance in FY26
The company reported robust financial results for FY26. Consolidated revenue stood at ₹42,955 crore. Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) saw a significant increase of 19.2% year-on-year, reaching ₹5,560 crore. Profit After Tax grew substantially by 27.4% to ₹3,185 crore. Finished goods sales volume achieved a record 2.57 million tonnes during the year, supported by a strong balance sheet with a net debt-to-equity ratio of 0.15x.
Manufacturing Expansion and Sustainability Initiatives
Jindal Stainless continued to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities in FY26, commissioning its 1.2 MTPA stainless steel melt shop in Indonesia ahead of schedule, raising its global melting capacity to 4.2 MTPA. The company also deepened its portfolio of specialised stainless steel solutions across defence, aerospace, mobility, railways, and industrial applications. Sustainability remains a core focus, with nearly 47% of total electricity consumption across its Hisar and Jajpur facilities sourced from renewable energy, including a 315.6 MW solar-wind hybrid project. The company maintained approximately 70% recycled scrap utilisation and is progressing towards its targets of reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 50% by 2035 and achieving Net Zero by 2050.
Ecosystem Building and Consumer Engagement
The company’s efforts in ecosystem building and community engagement were also highlighted. CSR programmes impacted over 1 lakh people. Jindal Stainless’ Stainless Academy expanded its programmes for fabricators, students, and industry professionals, reaching over 82,000 people. Consumer engagement initiatives included the launch of its first national brand campaign featuring brand ambassador Ranveer Singh, alongside the expansion of the Jindal Saathi programme.
