Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has announced a significant achievement with the securing of a Mega* order, marking its strategic entry into the AI Factory business. This order is part of a partnership with Together AI to construct India’s largest NVIDIA B300 AI Factory.
Strategic Partnership and Infrastructure Deployment
As part of this collaboration, L&T will deploy NVIDIA B300 infrastructure at its Chennai data centre campus. This advanced infrastructure is intended to power Together AI’s AI-native cloud platform, facilitating large-scale training and inference operations. The initiative is poised to significantly bolster India’s AI infrastructure ecosystem and support global innovation efforts.
Vyoma.AI and LTN Compute Involvement
The order was secured by Vyoma.AI, an L&T company, through its AI infrastructure subsidiary, LTN Compute. This development represents India’s largest single-cluster AI infrastructure project, featuring an NVIDIA B300 AI Factory for a US-based AI cloud innovator. The AI Factory will cater to AI Native Cloud platform needs, including large-scale inference, fine-tuning, and training workloads.
Chennai Data Centre Capabilities
The project will be hosted at Vyoma’s Chennai data centre campus, a gigawatt-scale AI infrastructure site. Phase 1 of this site is designed for 250 MW with power infrastructure readiness of 150 MVA, providing a scalable foundation for future AI Factory expansions. The integrated AI Factory will feature a capacity of 10,000 B300 NVIDIA GPUs and will combine hyperscale data centre infrastructure, accelerated computing, high-performance networking, and ultra-low-latency interconnects.
