Sun TV Network: Q1 FY27 Revenue Up 13% to ₹1,423 Cr, Dividend Declared

Sun TV Network Limited has disclosed its unaudited financial results for the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27, ending on June 30, 2026. The company demonstrated robust growth, with revenues for the quarter increasing by approximately 13% to stand at ₹1,423.39 crore, compared to ₹1,256.79 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Key Financial Highlights

The Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) for the quarter showed a significant improvement of about 19%, amounting to ₹732.99 crore, up from ₹617.23 crore in the same period last year. Profit after tax also saw a healthy increase of approximately 16%, reaching ₹611.97 crore from ₹528.66 crore year-on-year.

Dividend Declaration

In a move that reflects the company’s strong financial position and commitment to shareholder returns, the Board of Directors declared an interim dividend of ₹5.00 per equity share. This represents a 100% payout on the face value of Rs. 5.00 per share for the financial year 2026-27.

Segment Performance Insights

The company’s Domestic Subscription Revenues grew by approximately 3% to ₹485.46 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. Advertisement revenues for the quarter were reported at ₹282.51 crore.

Comparative Performance

When compared sequentially with the quarter ended March 31, 2026, Sun TV Network’s revenues surged by approximately 68%, from ₹848.48 crore to ₹1,423.39 crore. EBITDA for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, increased by a substantial 93% to ₹732.99 crore, from ₹379.51 crore in the preceding quarter. Profit after tax for the quarter also saw a significant rise of about 180%, moving from ₹218.64 crore to ₹611.97 crore.
