These orders are for the supply of 11 kV Medium Voltage underground power cables for critical projects in Gujarat, aimed at enhancing disaster resilience and urban infrastructure. The projects are under PGVCL’s Disaster Management Fund and System Improvement programs, with execution expected over the next 12 months.

Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited (DICABS) has been awarded two significant purchase orders aggregating to ₹195.48 crore (excluding GST). The orders were placed by Rajesh Power Services Limited for the supply of 11 kV Medium Voltage (MV) underground power cables. These cables are destined for projects under Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL) in Gujarat, focusing on coastal areas.
Key Project Details and Value
The orders are split into two main categories:
- Disaster Management (SDMF) Scheme: Approximately 645 km of 11 kV, 3-core aluminium XLPE armoured cables, valued at ₹98.21 crore (basic). This will support the undergrounding of power distribution networks to protect against cyclones and extreme weather events.
- System Improvement (SI) / Urban Underground Programme: Approximately 725 km of 11 kV, 3-core aluminium XLPE armoured cables, valued at ₹97.27 crore (basic). This part of the order aims to enhance reliability, safety, and aesthetics of power supply in urban areas.
Overall, the orders cover roughly 1,370 km of cables and are expected to be executed over the next 12 months.
Manufacturing and Terms
The cables will be manufactured at DICABS’s integrated facility in Vadodara, Gujarat. The order values are based on base prices, subject to price variation as per the applicable IEEMA formula. Payment terms are stipulated as 100% of the order value within 30 days from the date of invoice receipt, inclusive of all taxes and duties.
