RailTel Corporation: New Part-Time Govt. Director Appointed

RailTel Corporation of India Limited has announced a change in its directorship. Shri Rajesh Gupta has been appointed as the Part-Time Government Nominee Director on the Board, effective August 10, 2026. He replaces Shri Rameshwar Meena, who has ceased to hold the position. This appointment is in line with SEBI regulations and the Ministry of Railways’ directive.

Director Appointment Announced

RailTel Corporation of India Limited has informed stakeholders about a change in its Board of Directors. Pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligation and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the company has appointed Shri Rajesh Gupta as a Part-Time Government Nominee Director. This appointment was conveyed by the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, through a letter dated August 10, 2026.

Leadership Transition

Shri Rajesh Gupta, who also holds the post of PED (Signal Modernization) at the Railway Board, will serve on the Board of RailTel Corporation of India Limited. He will be serving in lieu of Shri Rameshwar Meena. The appointment is effective immediately and will continue as long as Shri Gupta holds the post of PED (Signal Modernization). Consequently, Shri Rameshwar Meena has ceased to be a Part-time Government Nominee Director on the company’s Board, also effective August 10, 2026.

Compliance and Future Actions

The company is undertaking the necessary formalities to complete the appointment of Shri Rajesh Gupta, in compliance with the Companies Act, 2013, and SEBI regulations. Further disclosures regarding this appointment will be made in due course. Details pertaining to the cessation of Shri Rameshwar Meena are also provided as an annexure to this notification.
