Jamna Auto Industries Limited announced today that its Board of Directors has approved the setting up of a new Leaf Spring Manufacturing Facility. This strategic expansion will be integrated into the existing manufacturing plant managed by M/s. Jai Suspensions Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jamna Auto Industries.
Details of the Expansion Project
The new facility will focus on Leaf Spring manufacturing and is projected to have a capacity of 1,500 metric tons per month. The company has allocated an estimated investment of ₹47 crore for this brownfield expansion, located at Adityapur, Jharkhand. This figure is subject to potential adjustments by the management.
Financing for the project will primarily come from the company’s internal accruals.
Strategic Rationale and Timeline
The establishment of this facility is intended to broaden the manufacturing capabilities of the Jamna Auto Group. It will enable the subsidiary to more effectively serve Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and the aftermarket segment, particularly in the Eastern region of India.
