Maruti Suzuki: Reports 24.22 Lakh Vehicle Sales in FY26, Plans 7 New SUVs

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has released its Annual Integrated Report for FY 2025-26, themed “The Next Million, New Momentum.” The company achieved a record 24.22 lakh vehicle sales and 4.47 lakh vehicle exports. With capacity expansion adding 500,000 units in FY 2026-27, Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce 7 new SUVs in the next five to six years to bolster its portfolio.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (Maruti Suzuki) has announced the release of its Annual Integrated Report for the financial year 2025-26, under the theme “The Next Million, New Momentum.” This theme signifies the company’s accelerated growth phase driven by multiple operational factors.

Record Sales and Exports

The report highlights that Maruti Suzuki registered its highest ever annual sales of 24.22 lakh vehicles during FY 2025-26. Additionally, the company achieved record exports of 4.47 lakh vehicles in the same fiscal year. Having surpassed the 2 million sales mark for the third consecutive year, Maruti Suzuki is optimistic about reaching its subsequent million-vehicle milestone sooner than anticipated.

Strategic Initiatives and Future Outlook

Mr. R. C. Bhargava, Chairman, stated that GST reforms have provided a new impetus to the automobile industry, with projections indicating the car market could grow to 6.1 to 6.3 million units by FY 2030-31, with a faster growth rate for the small car segment. He also discussed India’s net-zero journey and Maruti Suzuki’s initiative to invest in four biogas plants at a cost of ₹561 crore, aiming to provide zero-emission fuel and reduce reliance on imported CNG.

Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, revealed that to support medium-term outlook, capacity expansion plans were accelerated, adding 500,000 units of manufacturing capacity in FY 2026-27. Responding to evolving customer expectations, the company plans to introduce 7 new SUVs within the next 5 to 6 years to further strengthen its SUV portfolio.
