Key Performance Highlights and Strategic Updates

GPIL reported a resilient performance in Q1FY27, driven by healthy revenue growth from improved sales volumes and realisations. Despite higher input costs impacting sequential profitability, the company is set to ease these pressures with the commissioning of its beneficiation plant. Strategic growth initiatives include backward integration for BESS, expansion of captive mining capacity to 6.7 MnT, and increased pellet plant capacity to 4.7 MnT. The company is also progressing with its 20 GWh BESS project, slated for commissioning in Q1FY28.

Decarbonisation and Expansion Plans

GPIL is actively pursuing decarbonisation and energy efficiency projects. This includes expanding captive solar power capacity to 290 MW and transitioning towards EV transportation. Key projects include the 0.7 MnT CRM Complex and the 20 GWh BESS project. The company has also achieved significant milestones such as the commissioning of a 25 MW Captive Solar Plant and commencing commercial operations of a 6.91 MW WHRB Plant.
