The Commercial Paper programme retains an [ICRA] A1+ rating. Notably, ICRA has withdrawn the rating of [ICRA] AAA (Stable) for INR 475 Crore NCD (unissued) as per the company’s request.

Samvardhana Motherson International Limited has received updated credit ratings from the rating agency, ICRA Limited, for its various outstanding debt instruments. The update, dated August 07, 2026, reflects ICRA’s assessment of the company’s credit quality and financial stability.
Key Rating Reaffirmations and Actions
ICRA has reaffirmed the highest credit rating of [ICRA] AAA (Stable) for several significant debt facilities. These include the Long Term- Fund Based- Term Loan with an outstanding amount of ₹2,000.00 crore and the Long Term- Fund Based- Working Capital Demand Loan, valued at ₹100.00 crore. Additionally, the Long-term / Short Term Non Fund Based- BG/LC facility, amounting to ₹75.00 crore, also retains the [ICRA] AAA (Stable) rating.
The Commercial Paper Programme (Short term) continues to hold a strong rating of [ICRA] A1+, with an outstanding amount of ₹750.00 crore. Similarly, the Short Term- Non Fund Based- Others (CEL) is also rated [ICRA] A1+, outstanding at ₹425.00 crore. The overall total outstanding debt rated is ₹5,375.00 crore.
Rating Withdrawal
In accordance with ICRA’s policy on credit rating withdrawals, the rating agency has withdrawn the rating of [ICRA] AAA (Stable) previously assigned to INR 475 Crore NCD (unissued) programme. This withdrawal was actioned at the request of Samvardhana Motherson International Limited.
The total amount for which ratings were updated stands at ₹5,850.00 crore, with the current total outstanding being ₹5,375.00 crore.
