Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited (SMEL) has issued its consolidated sales release for the month ended July 31, 2026. The report highlights performance across its diverse product portfolio, providing insights into volume and realization trends on a Year-on-Year (YoY) and Month-on-Month (MoM) basis.
Key Segment Performance
Stainless Steel
Sales volume for Stainless Steel increased by 12.92% YoY to 9,149 MT in July 2026, with realizations up by 36.13% YoY. Compared to June 2026, volumes rose by 15.19% with a 1.41% increase in realizations.
Aluminium Foil
Aluminium Foil sales volume saw an increase of 8.24% YoY to 1,855 MT, while realizations grew by 36.33% YoY. However, MoM volumes decreased by 13.76%, though realizations improved by 0.74%.
Pellet
The Pellet segment experienced substantial growth, with sales volume surging by 87.61% YoY to 1,65,231 MT. Realizations saw a marginal increase of 0.05% YoY, and MoM volumes increased by 6.21% with a 0.68% rise in realizations.
Speciality Alloys
Speciality Alloys saw a decrease in sales volume by 20.27% YoY, reaching 17,407 MT. Despite this, realizations increased by 20.47% YoY. MoM volumes increased by 3.07%, with realizations up by 2.64%.
Carbon Steel
Carbon Steel sales volume rose by 10.87% YoY to 1,53,693 MT, with realizations increasing by 1.13% YoY. MoM volumes also grew by 3.35%, though realizations saw a decrease of 2.46%.
CR Coil / CR Sheets
CR Coil/CR Sheets reported a significant 53.10% YoY increase in sales volume to 20,103 MT, accompanied by a 17.59% YoY increase in realizations. MoM volumes grew by 9.89%, with realizations decreasing by 2.50%.
HR Tube / Pipe
The HR Tube/Pipe segment demonstrated exceptional growth with a 460.18% YoY increase in sales volume to 387 MT. Realizations increased by 11.16% YoY. MoM volumes saw a substantial surge of 169.27%, while realizations decreased by 3.76%.
Sponge Iron
Sponge Iron sales volume decreased by 47.54% YoY to 36,014 MT, with realizations also decreasing by 1.66% YoY. MoM volumes fell by 41.69%, and realizations decreased by 4.26%.
Pig Iron
Pig Iron sales volume increased by a strong 65.07% YoY to 92,579 MT, with realizations up by 21.47% YoY. MoM volumes decreased by 3.07%, but realizations increased by 1.11%.
