This growth was propelled by momentum across its global operations and strategic market initiatives.
Profitability and Margin Improvement
EBITDA saw a substantial increase of 25.8% to INR 5,080 million. The EBITDA margin improved by 50 basis points to 19.7%, reflecting enhanced productivity and operating leverage. Profit After Tax (PAT) demonstrated even stronger growth, rising by 36.2% to INR 2,925 million, with the PAT margin improving to 11.3%. This accelerated profit growth underscores the company’s robust operating performance and effective cost management.
Segmental Performance Highlights
The company detailed strong performance across its business segments. Domestic business sales grew by 10.2% to INR 10,953 million, accounting for 42.4% of consolidated revenue. This growth was driven by leading brands in CNS, cardiology, and women’s health, alongside improved execution. The international business performed exceptionally well, with sales increasing by 34.2% to INR 14,851 million, contributing 57.6% to the consolidated revenue. Growth in Europe was 32.8%, and in Canada, it was 24.6%.
Strategic Initiatives and R&D
Emcure also highlighted key strategic developments, including R&D advancements and organizational changes. The company received over 15+ product approvals and licensed a novel anti-HPV candidate. Furthermore, Emcure completed the acquisition of a minority stake in Gennova Biopharmaceuticals, making it a wholly-owned subsidiary. The company’s commitment to innovation is further evidenced by its R&D investment of INR 904 million, representing 3.5% of revenue.
