Bajaj Electricals: Q1 FY27 Profit Zooms, Approves ESOP Expansion

Bajaj Electricals has announced robust financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. Revenue from operations grew by 2.3% to ₹1,089 crore, while profit before tax saw a substantial increase to ₹66 crore from ₹2 crore in the prior year’s quarter. The company also secured board approval to increase its employee stock option pool under the PSOP 2023 plan by over 24 lakh options.

Bajaj Electricals Reports Strong Q1 Performance

Bajaj Electricals Limited has posted impressive financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2026-27, ending June 30, 2026. The company reported a revenue from operations of ₹1,089 crore, marking a 2.3% growth compared to the same period last year. A key highlight was the significant improvement in profitability, with profit before tax soaring to ₹66 crore, a substantial jump from ₹2 crore reported in the first quarter of the previous year.

Segment Performance

The Consumer Products (CP) segment demonstrated strong recovery, achieving a revenue of ₹820 crore, up 1.7% year-on-year. This segment recorded a positive EBIT of ₹32 crore, a notable turnaround from a loss of ₹14 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The Lighting Solutions (LS) segment continued its positive momentum with revenue growth of 4.4% to ₹269 crore. While the EBIT for this segment was ₹18 crore, down from ₹27 crore in the prior year’s quarter, overall EBIT margins for the company remained healthy at 6.6%.

Strategic Appointments and ESOP Expansion

In a significant strategic move, the Board of Directors approved the appointment of Mr. Krishnan Sundaram as the ‘Chief Growth & New Business Officer’, effective August 11, 2026. Additionally, the company’s Board has approved an increase in the total number of employee stock options available under the ‘Bajaj Electricals Limited – Performance Stock Option Plan – 2023’ (“PSOP 2023”). The ESOP pool will be increased from 5,75,510 options to 30,02,559 options, thereby adding 24,27,049 options, subject to shareholder approval.

Financial Health

The company maintained a strong balance sheet, with cash equivalents and surplus investments totaling ₹884 crore. The financial results, including standalone and consolidated statements, were reviewed by the Audit Committee and approved by the Board of Directors on August 6, 2026. The Board Meeting commenced at 11:00 a.m. and concluded at 01:05 p.m.
