Samvardhana Motherson: Reports Record Q1 Revenue of ₹35,244 Cr, Approves Acquisition

Samvardhana Motherson International Limited (SAMIL) announced its first-quarter financial results for FY27, ending June 30, 2026. The company achieved its highest-ever quarterly revenue of ₹35,244 crore, a 17% year-on-year increase. Alongside this performance, SAMIL also announced the acquisition of Shenzhen Autocruis, reinforcing its strategic growth initiatives and diversified business model.

Samvardhana Motherson International Limited (SAMIL) has reported its financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026-27, which concluded on June 30, 2026. The company announced a record-breaking quarterly revenue of ₹35,244 crore, marking a significant 17% year-on-year growth. This achievement underscores the strength of its diversified business model and the trust of its global customer base.

Key Financial Highlights

In addition to the record revenue, SAMIL’s consolidated results for Q1 FY27 showed an EBITDA of ₹3,104 crore and a Normalized PAT of ₹1,032 crore. The company highlighted its comfortable leverage ratio of 0.8x, indicating ample capacity for both organic and inorganic growth. Furthermore, the company operationalized three new plants during the quarter, with thirteen more in various stages of completion, reflecting its commitment to expanding production capacity.

Strategic Acquisitions and Investments

SAMIL reported a Capital Expenditure (Capex) of ₹1,614 crore for Q1 FY27, aligning with its growth priorities and annual guidance. The company also announced a new acquisition: Shenzhen Autocruis. This strategic move follows the completion of acquisitions of the Wiring Harness business of Nexans Autoelectric and Yutaka Giken in July 2026. These acquisitions are part of SAMIL’s strategy to enhance its global footprint and product offerings.

Chairman’s Outlook

Mr. Vivek Chaand Sehgal, Chairman of Motherson, commented on the results, stating, “Our integrated D.E.M.A.L. capabilities helped us begin FY27 on a strong note, delivering our highest-ever quarterly revenue, a reflection of our diversified business model and the continued trust of our customers. Despite input cost inflation and an evolving geopolitical environment, disciplined execution and cost optimisation drove resilient profitability.” He further expressed confidence in delivering sustainable long-term growth, backed by a robust order book and the company’s strong balance sheet.
