Global Health Limited, operating under the Medanta brand, has announced its financial results for the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2027 (Q1 FY27), ending June 30, 2026. The company demonstrated significant growth across key financial and operational metrics, underscoring its strong market position and disciplined execution.
Financial Highlights for Q1 FY27
The consolidated income for the quarter reached INR 13,262 million, marking a healthy 26% year-on-year growth. This expansion was driven by robust patient volumes, improved realizations, and the continued scaling of its operations, including the Medanta Noida facility.
EBITDA showed a notable increase of 23% year-on-year, totaling INR 3,153 million, with EBITDA margins standing at 23.8%. Excluding the Noida facility, EBITDA grew by 24% to INR 3,201 million, with improved margins of 25.8%.
Profit after tax was INR 1,573 million, compared to INR 1,590 million in Q1 FY26. The company noted that the prior year’s profit included a non-recurring exceptional income of INR 196 million, which impacted the year-on-year comparison.
Operational Performance and Network Growth
Operationally, the network witnessed strong momentum. Inpatient volumes increased by 28% year-on-year, while outpatient volumes grew by 34%. Occupied bed days rose by 21%, with network occupancy remaining at a healthy 63% on an expanded bed capacity.
Average revenue per occupied bed (ARPOB) grew by 5% year-on-year to INR 70,244. International patient revenue saw a growth of 23% year-on-year to INR 782 million. The OPD pharmacy business also continued its strong trajectory, with revenue increasing 51% year-on-year to INR 609 million.
During the quarter, 72 additional beds were operationalized, bringing the total operational bed capacity to 3,737. This included 51 beds at Noida and 21 beds at Lucknow.
Medanta Noida Update
The Medanta Noida facility, which opened in November 2025, is showing significant progress. The facility generated total income of INR 855 million in Q1 FY27. Importantly, the EBITDA loss declined sharply from INR 236 million in Q4 FY26 to just INR 49 million in Q1 FY27. The company anticipates Noida will achieve EBITDA breakeven earlier than previously expected.
Cluster Performance
The company introduced a new reporting structure with ‘Cluster 1’ (established hospitals: Gurugram, Indore, Ranchi) and ‘Cluster 2’ (developing hospitals: Lucknow, Patna, Noida).
- Cluster 1 revenue grew 10% year-on-year to INR 7,715 million, with EBITDA at INR 1,858 million and margins at 24.1%.
- Cluster 2, including Noida, saw total income grow by 55% year-on-year to INR 4,983 million, with EBITDA up 35% to INR 1,272 million. Excluding Noida, Cluster 2 delivered 28% revenue growth and 40% EBITDA growth.
Expansion Pipeline
Global Health Limited has a robust expansion pipeline, with planned additions of nearly 3,350 additional beds. The company also revised the scale of its proposed Guwahati hospital to a 650-bed super specialty hospital with an estimated project cost of approximately INR 9,700 million.
The management expressed confidence in delivering sustainable growth and long-term value creation, supported by its strong brand, clinical capabilities, and disciplined execution.
