NHPC Limited, a Government of India enterprise, has officially disclosed its unaudited financial results for the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27, which concluded on June 30, 2026. The results were reviewed by the Audit Committee and subsequently approved by the Board of Directors during their meeting held on August 4, 2026.

Key Financial Highlights

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, NHPC reported a profit of ₹1,113.41 crore. This represents the profit after considering all revenues and expenses, including movements in regulatory deferral account balances. The company’s total income for the quarter stood at ₹3,742.31 crore, with total expenses amounting to ₹2,551.33 crore.

The standalone financial results also indicated a profit before tax of ₹1,190.98 crore. Other comprehensive income for the period was ₹13.86 crore, leading to a total comprehensive income of ₹1,127.27 crore for the quarter.

Consolidated Financial Performance

On a consolidated basis, which includes its subsidiaries, joint ventures, and associates, NHPC reported a profit for the period (attributable to owners of the parent company) of ₹1,095.87 crore. Total comprehensive income attributable to owners of the parent company was ₹1,095.53 crore for the same period.

The consolidated total income for the quarter was ₹3,959.72 crore, with total expenses at ₹2,661.53 crore. The profit before tax and other movements for the consolidated entity was ₹1,298.19 crore.

Operational and Compliance Updates

The company also provided updates regarding its operations and compliance. This includes information on the utilization of proceeds from non-convertible securities, demonstrating no deviation in the use of funds raised. Furthermore, NHPC confirmed there were no outstanding defaults on its loans and debt securities as of June 30, 2026.
