This growth was driven by a record crude throughput of 41.15 MMT and a highest-ever capital expenditure of ₹21,372 Crore. The company also achieved its highest-ever PSU market share of 29.81% in Motor Spirit.

Strong Financial Performance in FY 2025-26

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has reported a significant financial upswing for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026. The company announced a net profit of ₹25,843 Crore, a remarkable 94% increase compared to the previous year’s profit of ₹13,336.55 Crore. This substantial growth underscores BPCL’s resilient performance amidst a complex global environment.

Key Operational Highlights

BPCL’s operational performance also saw significant improvements. The refineries achieved their highest-ever crude throughput of 41.15 Million Metric Tons (MMT), surpassing the previous record. Similarly, domestic market sales reached a record 54.18 MMT, reflecting a growth of 3.4% year-on-year. The company also achieved its highest-ever capital expenditure of over ₹21,372 Crore at the consolidated group level, reinforcing its commitment to sustained investments in growth and resilience.

Enhanced Market Position

In the retail sector, BPCL achieved its highest-ever PSU market share of 29.81% in Motor Spirit and recorded its highest-ever ethanol blending of 19.87%. The company also expanded its clean mobility footprint with 2,575 CNG stations. These achievements demonstrate BPCL’s ability to remain agile, disciplined, and customer-focused in an increasingly uncertain world.
