Details of Ongoing Cases
Several petitions have been filed involving disputes over tariff regulations. The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has directed that the disputes in the following cases be referred to three-member arbitral tribunals:
- Petition involving Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (“MSEDCL”).
- Petition involving Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (“PSPCL”).
- Petition involving Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (“GUVNL”).
- Petition involving Haryana Power Purchase Centre (“HPPC”).
- Petition involving Tata Power and GUVNL and Rajasthan Discoms/RUVNL
The CERC has determined that the disputes in these cases do not fall within CERC’s adjudicatory jurisdiction, as they relate to tariff or regulation of tariff.
