Current Chief Audit Officer, Ms. Hema B., will be relieved of her duties on November 14, 2025, and repatriated to State Bank of India.
Leadership Change in Audit Function
SBI Life Insurance Company Limited has appointed Mr. Ganesh Prasad as its new Chief Audit Officer (CAO). This appointment is effective from November 15, 2025.
Departure of Current CAO
The current Chief Audit Officer, Ms. Hema B., will be relieved from her duties on November 14, 2025. Following her service as CAO, she will return to the State Bank of India.
Ganesh Prasad’s Background
Mr. Ganesh Prasad is described as an accomplished banking professional with more than 23 years of experience within the banking and financial industry. He possesses a postgraduate certificate in Business Management from XLRI Jamshedpur and is a Chartered Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB).
Since 2002, Mr. Prasad has held various managerial and executive positions at the State Bank of India (SBI). His experience encompasses a deep understanding of International Banking, Audit, and Treasury Operations.
Prior to his new role, Mr. Prasad served as VP & Concurrent Auditor at SBI Hong Kong Operations from October 2020 to December 2024. Furthermore, he has experience as Chief Investment Officer at SBI General Insurance and Manager at SBI UK Operations.
