SAIL (Steel Authority of India Limited) has announced the appointment of Shri Priya Ranjan as the Director-in-charge of Bokaro Steel Plant, effective December 24, 2025. This decision was made subsequent to nomination by the Government of India via the Ministry of Steel order dated December 23, 2025, and approved by the SAIL Board of Directors.

Shri Priya Ranjan, previously serving as Executive Director, brings significant experience to the role. He is a distinguished professional with over three decades in SAIL, having held senior positions including Executive Director (Operations) at the Corporate Office in New Delhi, and various leadership roles in technical operations, production planning, and corporate strategy. He joined SAIL in 1994.
Ranjan’s Extensive Experience
Mr. Ranjan’s experience spans across steel making, production, planning & control, and expansion projects. He has contributed to process efficiency, coal blend optimization, and raw material security plans. His career includes working closely with successive Chairman & Managing Directors at Corporate Office, New Delhi, and holding the position of ED (Operations) with additional charge of Head of Directorate of Mines and Logistics at Corporate Office.
