Chairman’s Re-employment
Shri Arun Kumar Singh has been re-employed as the Chairman of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). The decision was made during a board meeting held on December 5, 2025.
Terms of Appointment
Singh’s re-employment is effective from December 7, 2025. The tenure is for a period of one year on a contract basis. This arrangement will continue until a regular incumbent assumes charge, or until further notice.
Singh’s Background
Shri Arun Kumar Singh holds positions as Chairman and CEO of ONGC and the ONGC Group of Companies. He assumed this position on December 7, 2022. He also chairs ONGC Videsh Limited (OVL), Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), ONGC Petro additions Limited (OPaL), ONGC Green Ltd. (OGL), Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd. (ARPPL) and ONGC Energy Centre Trust (OECT).
Singh has nearly four decades of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. He previously served as the Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL).
