NTPC’s subsidiary, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), has declared the Commercial Operation Date (COD) for a part capacity of 6.6 MW (Wind) of a 100 MW hybrid project in Bhuj, Gujarat, effective December 11, 2025. This capacity addition increases the total installed capacity of the NTPC group to 84,931 MW and the NGEL group to 7645.675 MW.
Wind Energy Milestone
NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC, has announced the commissioning of part capacity from its hybrid renewable energy project. The 6.6 MW wind component, part of the larger 100 MW project, achieved its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on December 11, 2025.
Project Details and Location
The wind capacity is located in Bhuj, Gujarat, and is being developed by Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Limited, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd. Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd. is wholly owned subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited.
Capacity Update
With this commissioning, the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC group now stands at 84,931 MW. The NTPC Green Energy Limited Group’s capacity is increased to 7645.675 MW with the addition of this capacity.
