Maruti Suzuki India Limited is initiating a voluntary recall of 39,506 units of its Grand Vitara model. These vehicles were manufactured between December 9th, 2024 and April 29th, 2025. The company announced the recall on November 14th, 2025.

Reason for Recall

The recall is due to a potential issue concerning the fuel level indicator. Specifically, the fuel level warning light within the speedometer assembly may not accurately reflect the actual fuel status in affected vehicles. This could potentially lead to driver misjudgment of remaining fuel.

Resolution for Customers

Maruti Suzuki will communicate directly with affected vehicle owners. Authorized Maruti Suzuki dealerships will conduct inspections and, if necessary, replace the faulty part free of cost to the customer. This service will ensure the accuracy of the fuel level indication.
