L&T Technology Services Inaugurates PALFINGER Global Development Center

L&T Technology Services (LTTS) has inaugurated a new Global Development Center (GDC) in collaboration with PALFINGER, a crane and lifting solutions company. The GDC, part of a multi-year engagement, will focus on accelerating product development and strengthening PALFINGER’s localization efforts. Anchored in LTTS’ Mobility segment, the GDC aims to drive innovation and efficiency through AI-driven engineering and digital transformation.

Strategic Collaboration with PALFINGER

L&T Technology Services (LTTS) and PALFINGER, have announced the inauguration of a state-of-the-art Global Development Center (GDC) – APAC as part of a multi-year engagement. This collaboration aims to accelerate product development and innovation in the crane and lifting solutions sector.

GDC Objectives and Capabilities

The GDC, established within LTTS’ Mobility segment, is designed to enhance PALFINGER’s global and India-focused product development. It leverages LTTS’ expertise in AI-driven engineering processes. The center aims to drive innovation, reduce time-to-market, and support PALFINGER’s growth strategy in India and the Asia-Pacific region.

Integrated Engineering Solutions

LTTS will provide a suite of engineering and digital capabilities, including embedded software development, PLM migration, CAE simulations, and digital mock-ups. These capabilities are intended to strengthen PALFINGER’s product portfolio and support its sourcing and localization programs.

Alexander Susanek, COO of PALFINGER, stated that the partnership with LTTS expands their engineering capacity and reinforces their presence in strategic regions like APAC, with India being a key focus. Alind Saxena, Executive Director and President, Mobility and Tech at L&T Technology Services, noted that the GDC in Pune will serve as an innovation hub, combining AI-powered simulation and embedded engineering to help PALFINGER develop future-ready solutions, improve cost competitiveness and achieve faster development.
