JK Cement Commissions 3.3 MnTPA Clinker Line, Expands Capacity

JK Cement has successfully commissioned a 3.3 MnTPA clinker line, part of its overall 6 MnTPA expansion plan. This expansion, approved in January 2024, also includes a brownfield clinker capacity expansion of 3.3 MnTPA and a greenfield cement grinding capacity of 3 MnTPA in Bihar. The Panna plant’s clinker capacity has increased from 3.30 MnTPA to 6.60 MnTPA.

Capacity Expansion at Panna

JK Cement announced the commissioning of a 3.3 MnTPA clinker line. This project is part of a larger expansion strategy that aims to significantly increase the company’s production capabilities. The commissioning took place on December 3, 2025.

Details of the Expansion Plan

The commissioning is part of the company’s 6 MnTPA expansion plan, which was approved in January 2024. The comprehensive plan includes:

  • Brownfield Expansion: An increase in clinker capacity by 3.3 MnTPA (Design – 10,000 TPD, Potential – 12,000 TPD) coupled with a cement grinding capacity increase of 3 MnTPA across Panna, Hamirpur and Prayagraj (1 MnTPA each).
  • Greenfield Cement Grinding: A capacity of 3 MnTPA in Bihar.
  • Impact on Panna Plant

    Following the commissioning of the new clinker line, the clinker capacity at the Panna plant has substantially increased. The capacity has grown from 3.30 MnTPA to 6.60 MnTPA, effectively doubling the plant’s output.
