Inox Wind Partnership with KP Energy to Develop 2.5 GW Wind Projects

Inox Wind and KP Energy have entered a strategic partnership to jointly develop 2.5 GW of wind and wind-solar hybrid power projects across India. Inox Wind will supply wind turbines and provide O&M services, while KP Energy will handle project development, including balance of plant and EPC works. This collaboration aims to leverage each company’s strengths for efficient, high-quality project execution, contributing to India’s clean energy transition.

Strategic Alliance for Wind Energy

Inox Wind Limited (IWL) and KP Energy Limited (KPE) have formed an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop 2.5 GW of wind and wind-solar hybrid power projects across multiple states in India. The partnership, announced on November 19, 2025, leverages the strengths of both companies to enhance renewable energy development.

Roles and Responsibilities

Under the MoU, Inox Wind will supply Wind Turbine Generators and associated equipment. Inox Renewable Solutions will provide limited scope wind EPC services, and Inox Green Energy will provide wind O&M services. KP Energy will undertake project development activities, securing connectivity, land, and statutory approvals. KPE will also execute Balance of Plant and EPC works and manage O&M of the balance of the plant for the project.

Complementary Strengths

This collaboration aims to strengthen the strategic positioning of both organizations. KP Energy will benefit from assured access to Inox Wind’s equipment and engineering capabilities. Inox Wind will gain from KP Energy’s on-ground execution expertise and development track record. The partnership intends to enable both companies to pursue large-scale renewable opportunities and contribute to India’s clean energy transition.

Leadership Perspectives

Mr. Kailash Tarachandani, Group CEO Renewables, INOXGFL Group, stated that the partnership is a collaboration of two renewable industry leaders, capitalizing on strong product, ground-level execution, and project-development excellence. Dr. Faruk G. Patel, Founder and MD, KPE, added that the partnership with INOX marks a significant strategic step towards advancing large-scale renewable energy infrastructure.
