Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) has announced that Shri Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, Director (Operations), has been assigned the additional charge of Director (Mining), effective September 22, 2025. This arrangement will continue until March 21, 2026, or until a regular appointment is made, whichever comes first. This appointment was formalized via an order from the Ministry of Mines, Government of India.

Shri Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, currently serving as Director (Operations) at Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), will assume additional responsibilities as Director (Mining). This appointment, effective from September 22, 2025, ensures continued leadership and operational efficiency within the organization. The official announcement was made on November 19, 2025.
Terms of Appointment
According to the official notification, Shri Sinha’s additional charge will be in effect for a period of six months, concluding on March 21, 2026. The tenure may also conclude earlier if a regular incumbent is appointed to the post or as per further directives issued by the Ministry of Mines, Government of India.
Background of Shri Sanjeev Kumar Sinha
Shri Sinha has over 25 years of experience in the mining sector, having previously worked at NMDC Ltd. He holds a PhD in Mining Engineering from IIT(ISM) Dhanbad. His research focuses on enhancing mine life and optimizing resource utilization. He joined Hindustan Copper Limited as Director (Operations) on March 9, 2025, and he has assumed additional charge of Director (Mining) on March 28, 2025.
He is not related to any other Member of the Board of Directors of the Company or Key Managerial Personnel and their relatives.
