The Great Eastern Shipping Delivers Medium Range Product Tanker ‘Jag Pooja’

The Great Eastern Shipping Company has delivered its 2005-built Medium Range Product Tanker “Jag Pooja” to its buyers, following the sale agreement in October 2025. After this transaction, the company’s fleet consists of 40 vessels, including 26 tankers and 14 dry bulk carriers, with a total capacity of 3.32 mn dwt. The company has also contracted to sell one Suezmax crude tanker and purchase one secondhand Ultramax dry bulk carrier, with both transactions expected to close in H2 FY26.

Vessel Delivery Announcement

The Great Eastern Shipping Company announced the delivery of its Medium Range Product Tanker, the “Jag Pooja,” to its new owners. The sale was initially contracted in October 2025, and the vessel, built in 2005, has now been officially handed over.

Fleet Composition Update

Following the delivery of “Jag Pooja,” Great Eastern Shipping’s operational fleet now includes a total of 40 vessels. This comprises 26 tankers (6 crude tankers, 16 product tankers, and 4 LPG carriers) and 14 dry bulk carriers (2 Capesize, 10 Kamsarmax, and 2 Supramax), aggregating to 3.32 mn dwt.

Future Transactions

In addition to the delivery, the company has entered into agreements to sell one Suezmax crude tanker and acquire a secondhand Ultramax dry bulk carrier. Both of these transactions are anticipated to be finalized during the second half of fiscal year 2026 (H2 FY26).
