Godawari Power & Ispat Limited (GPIL) announced its board approved the unaudited financial results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2025. Additionally, they approved the allotment of equity warrants on a preferential basis and investment in Godawari New Energy Private Limited (GNEPL) along with setting up a 250 MWp Solar Power Plant at Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. A total of 2,04,08,220 equity warrants allotted, as well as the details regarding the proposed solar plant’s operational timeline by March 2027.
Financial Performance Highlights
The Board of Directors of Godawari Power and Ispat Limited (GPIL) has reviewed and approved the unaudited financial results for Q2 2025, ended September 30, 2025. Key figures from the standalone results include:
- Total Income: ₹1,257.59 Crores
- Profit before exceptional items & tax: ₹312.96 Crores
- Net Profit for the period: ₹248.40 Crores
The consolidated results show a similar upward trend:
- Total Income: ₹1,327.16 Crores
- Profit before exceptional items & tax: ₹230.55 Crores
- Net Profit for the period: ₹161.65 Crores
Equity Warrant Allotment
The board has approved the allotment of 2,04,08,220 equity warrants on a preferential basis at a price of ₹245 per warrant. This translates to a total consideration of ₹1,25,00,03,475. Key allottees include:
- Mrs. Sarita Devi Agrawal: 41,63,300 warrants
- Mr. Dinesh Agrawal: 12,24,500 warrants
- Mr. Kumar Agrawal: 22,04,200 warrants
Each warrant is convertible into one fully paid-up equity share, with the warrant holders having 18 months from the allotment date to exercise this option.
Investment in Green Energy
GPIL is investing up to ₹300 Crores in Godawari New Energy Private Limited (GNEPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary. This includes existing investments in equity shares and a proposed rights issue offer for subscription of Non-Cumulative Participating Optionally Convertible Redeemable Preference Shares. This will support GNEPL’s Battery Energy Storage System Plant.
Solar Power Plant Project
The company will set up a 250 MWp Solar Power Plant at Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, to meet the power requirements of the upcoming Cold Rolling Mill project and the existing steel plant at Siltara. The estimated project timeline is March 2027.
