Dabur India Receives Favorable ITAT Order Reducing Tax Demand

Dabur India has received a favorable order from the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT). The ITAT has quashed a demand of ₹59.37 crores. Consequently, the total demand of ₹110.33 crores has been reduced to ₹50.96 crores, against which the company is already in appeal. The company believes the financial implication of this matter is unlikely to be significant.

Dabur India announced it has received a favorable order regarding its income tax assessment. The order, received on November 18, 2025, relates to a previously issued demand.

The ITAT order has quashed an initial demand of ₹59.37 crores. As a result, the outstanding income tax demand against the company has been significantly reduced. The initial amount of ₹110.33 crores has been reduced to ₹50.96 crores. Dabur India has stated it is already appealing the remaining demand before the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals).

Financial Implications

The company anticipates that the ultimate financial impact of this tax matter is unlikely to be material. Any final tax liability will be determined by higher appellate authorities. Dabur India will continue to pursue its appeal regarding the remaining demand.
