Caplin Point Laboratories announced that its step-down subsidiary, Triwin Pharma S.A DE C.V, located in Mexico, has acquired land to set up a manufacturing unit. The new facility marks a significant step in the company’s international expansion strategy. The official announcement was made on November 14, 2025.

Details of the Acquisition

The acquired land measures approximately 5.5 acres and is located in the Municipality of Capulhuac, District of Tenango Del Valle, State of Mexico. The purpose of this acquisition is to establish a new manufacturing facility to enhance the company’s production capabilities.

Investment and Capacity

The investment in the land amounts to USD 2.24 million (INR 19.85 Crores). The overall proposed investment for setting up the manufacturing facility is estimated to reach up to USD 15 million (INR 133 Crores). In its initial phase, the manufacturing facility will focus on producing Suppositories, Topicals, and other products, with an expected initial capacity of 50 million units per annum.

Timeline and Funding

The company anticipates commissioning the facility during FY 2027. The project will be funded through internal accruals. This investment aligns with the company’s strategy to expand its presence in the Mexican market and leverage local incentives for setting up manufacturing operations.
