Bharti Hexacom has announced the appointment of Karthikeyan Velu as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP), effective January 1, 2026. This follows the resignation of Akhil Garg, the current CFO, due to an organizational move within the Bharti Group. Garg’s resignation will be effective from December 31, 2025.
New CFO Appointment
Karthikeyan Velu has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) of Bharti Hexacom, starting January 1, 2026. He brings with him over two decades of experience in the telecom finance sector. His previous role was as B2C controller overseeing all circles commercial operations, and he currently serves as Group Financial Controller for Airtel. He joined Airtel as a Management Trainee in 2002.
CFO Resignation
Akhil Garg has resigned from his position as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and KMP of Bharti Hexacom, due to an organizational movement within the Bharti Group. His resignation will be effective from December 31, 2025. He has also expressed his appreciation to the board for their support during his tenure.
