BDL has not paid the fines. The company is pursuing a waiver of the fines levied by the BSE & NSE, citing reasons related to the procedures for appointing directors. BDL clarifies that the authority for the appointment of Directors rests with the President of India, acting through the Ministry of Defence, meaning that the BDL Board has no direct influence on these appointments.
