New Company Names
The following changes are now effective:
- The former Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company Limited has been renamed Bajaj General Insurance Limited.
- The former Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company Limited has been renamed Bajaj Life Insurance Limited.
These changes follow the agreement with Allianz SE regarding their equity stake in the insurance subsidiaries, as per the announcement on October 7, 2025.
Stake Acquisition Details
The name changes reflect Allianz SE’s acquisition of a 26% equity stake in the aforementioned insurance subsidiaries. The company noted that the completion of the stake acquisition is contingent upon fulfilment of specific covenants outlined in the agreement.
