Adani Energy Solutions Secures Letter of Intent for Gujarat Transmission Project

Adani Energy Solutions has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) for a major transmission project in Gujarat. The project, valued at 2.5 GW, will facilitate the evacuation of renewable energy from the Khavda region under Phase-V. The project includes the establishment of a 2500 MW HVDC system and aims to bolster the overall transmission network by 27,905 ckm. It also supports the planned evacuation of an additional 8 GW RE power.

New Transmission Project Secured

Adani Energy Solutions announced it has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the establishment of a significant transmission system in Gujarat. The project focuses on evacuating power from potential renewable energy zones in the Khavda area under Phase-V (8GW), Part C.

Project Details and Scope

The project, officially termed “Transmission System for Evacuation of Power from potential renewable energy zone in Khavda area of Gujarat under Phase-V (8GW): Part C”, includes the construction of a 2500 MW HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) system connecting KPS III to South Olpad (approximately 1200 ckm). This will expand Adani Energy Solutions’ overall transmission network to 27,905 ckm with 97,236 MVA of transformation capacity.

Renewable Energy Evacuation

The primary objective of this project is to facilitate the evacuation of 2.5 GW of renewable energy. This encompasses the Phase-V scheme, which is designed to enable the evacuation of an additional 8 GW of renewable energy from the Khavda RE park. The LOI is subject to customary conditions and binding agreements.
